The conversation has started. We have had two IRL (In real life) conversations/classes at the Allentown Presbyterian Church. The gathering last night was live streamed and about 8 of us were available through the chat function. In addition, there is a facebook group for all who are reading the book with us. AND there is a twitter presence using the hashtag #apcthestory which you can follow on twitter or in the feed on the right margin of the blog pages.
If you’re following on this blog, however, we thought it would be good to share a few introductions. So here are some questions for you:

The Story 
What is your name? Wendy Bailey
Where are you from? I live in central New Jersey, not from the Allentown Church. But we moved here two years ago from the Houston, Texas area.
What is your experience with the Bible? I have to come clean and let you know that I am a Presbyterian Pastor; so I’ve studied the Bible in seminary.
What do you hope to gain from this community? I am intrigued by the upper story approach to this process and are hoping we’ll be able to find the connections between THE story and each of our stories.
What is your favorite flavor of ice cream? Absolute favorite is a dark chocolate raspberry truffle ice cream … yum!
What is something about you that some might be surprised to know? Well, lots of people are surprised to learn that I love to ride my motorcycle with my husband. My bike even has her own facebook page. 🙂

Where are you from? Live in Seabrook, TX but am from Louisiana
What is your experience with the Bible? Have read the Bible since childhood.
What do you hope to gain from this community? I am interested in reading what I think will be “Bible Light”
What is your favorite flavor of ice cream? Blue Bell Butter Pecan
What is something about you that some might be surprised to know? I was on the Championship Atlanta, GA City Gra-Y flag football team in 1967. The only child my father ever had to letter in football and I have 2 brothers.
I do miss BlueBell ice cream … Though we have lots of homemade ice cream shoppes around. Football? Wow.
Hi everyone,
This is my first time doing on line study/chat. I met Wendy at our husbands 35th class reunion in Warren PA a couple of months ago and we became Fb friends. I heard about”The Story” there, it sounded interesting, and since we could participate online I thought is give it a try.
I live in Delaware, OH and worship at Delaware City Vineyard. I love Jesus and never want to stop learning more and more about Him, His love and Grace.
Oh yes and my favorite flavor ice cream is expresso!
