Rev. Wendy S. Bailey, an ordained Presbyterian Minister, is Regional Presbyter of the Presbytery of New Brunswick and Monmouth Presbytery in Central New Jersey. She was ordained in 1987 in Allen Park, Michigan, after completing her M.Div. at Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary and her B.A. in Psychology at SUNY Fredonia. She’s served congregations in Ohio, Michigan, and Texas before taking on more regional responsibilities within the Presbyterian Church (USA). Wendy blogs personally as well as professionally and is an avid Facebook user. In addition to her church work, Wendy loves to play the piano, guitar and sing; rides her motorcycle which she named JoJo DeMoto; watch TV series such as Downton Abby, The Good Wife, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, and Orange is the New Black; and enjoys the solitude and retreat-like setting of home with her husband, Dwayne, and her dogs, Harley and Lizzie. Wendy and Dwayne have one fantastic daughter who was recently married to an awesome son-in-law in Denton, TX.
Dwayne A. Bailey is an elder of the PCUSA and a member of the Allentown Presbyterian Church in Allentown NJ. Dwayne was ordained as an elder by Faith Presbyterian Church in Baytown, TX, in January 2010. Dwayne helps lead worship occasionally at APC; he loves to sing, act, direct, play his bass, or do other rather crazy things there as well (like walk into worship in his SCUBA gear one Sunday). Dwayne makes his living as computer consultant/analyst working on government contracts (sounds “Snowden”-ish, but it isn’t). In addition, he has been seen on community theater stages in Texas and New Jersey. As a self-professed GEEK, Dwayne is an avid reader of science fiction and fantasy, as well as an all out Trekkie and Dr. Who fan. In addition, though, he reads the latest in emergent Christian thinking, especially writers like Peter Rollins. He loves to ride his BMW R1200GS, which Wendy is trying to get him to name (think “The Streaker” might work?). Dwayne has a daily presence on Facebook, but he’s more of a Twitter guy. Wendy and Dwayne have been married for more than 34 years and are still romantic enough to enjoy chilly nights in their hot tub or sitting around their backyard fire pit.
